Gartner positions EOS Software as a Visionary, furthest on the Completeness of Vision axis, in 2013 Magic Quadrant for Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Applications

EOS Software, the leading provider in integrated IT portfolio management solutions, today announced that Gartner, Inc., a leading IT research and advisory firm, has positioned EOS Software as a Visionary in its November 2013 Magic Quadrant for Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Applications report. Among the 11 vendors evaluated in the report, EOS Software placed the furthest in “Completeness of Vision.”

Gartner analysts wrote, in the Market Definition/Description section of the Magic Quadrant for Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Applications report, that, “Integrated visibility across different IT silos or domains can bring their often unique perspectives to the table to enhance capital and strategic IT investment prioritization and decision making for a CIO, an IT steering committee, a governance board or council, an IT program or project management office (PMO), or others requiring this type of visibility”. For the Gartner’s full IIPA market definition, see “Examine Alternative IT Portfolio Strategies With IIPA Practices and Products.”

EOS Software enables CIOs to become CEOs of IT by enabling multi-asset, cross-portfolio views from cost, risk and value perspectives. CIOs can then leverage these views to guide several critical needs such as cost reduction, business integration, risk and compliance management, business technology alignment, application portfolio rationalization, end state architecture transformation, solution design alignment automation and IT governance.

Gartner in commenting on the need to present a more holistic IT portfolio story, also wrote in the report that, ” Integrating these views enables IT leaders to see the cost, effort, technical complexity, feasibility and interrelated effects of a proposed IT change or initiative.”

“Traditionally enterprises have optimized their portfolios in silos around a specific type of IT asset (such as projects or applications or infrastructure) or by function (such cost or risk). Our product provides an integrated view of the IT portfolio from cost, risk and value perspectives across multiple classes of logical and physical assets” said Mohit Doshi, CEO, EOS Software.

EOS Software’s Mohit added, “Our solution sets the foundation for holistic business technology alignment, governance and optimization which CIOs crave to enable a fact-based, meaningful dialogue with their business partners. We believe we have one of the most innovative and visionary solution in the industry thanks to the constant feedback, guidance and support of our clients over the years.”
